Path of Exile Item Upgrading

In Path of Exile, item upgrading is among the best ways to improve your gear without relying on massive drops or trade. This article will show you how to upp your items effectively.

Upgrades to equipment provide a bonus to the item's base stats. This bonus is based on the upgrade component level and rarity.

Components

Upgrade components are the things that improve your armor and weapons more effective. You can get them from fighting off enemies, locating them in item spheres, or buying them from karma merchants. You can also salvage them from equipment that has the components or by using high-end salvage kits like Black Lion Salvage Kit and Ascended Salvage Tool. Upgrade components aren't destroyed when they are removed from the item.

Upgrade components are primarily used to upgrade an item, however, they can also be used for other reasons. They can be used to boost the value of an item that can be upgraded or they can be used to boost the experience gained by upgrading an existing weapon or piece of equipment. They can be forged to give extra bonuses. For instance, a specially designed glyph will increase the chances of upgrading its target, while a boost upgrade will boost the defense or attack quality of a weapon or armor.

You can connect an upgrade template to an item by selecting it from the edition GUI. This will show the upgrade components that the item can be upgraded. Alternatively, you can use the workbench to select an upgrade template. In either case, the item will be upgraded after enough upgrade item components have been collected.

Each component has a unique experience multiplier. This determines the amount of experience an item will gain when upgraded using that component. For instance, organic components offer a higher experience multiplier than mechanical ones. Therefore, it is recommended to upgrade with organic components until you reach the experience multiplier for the next rank of weapon or gear, then change to mechanical upgrades.

Each item has an upgrade limit number that it is possible to receive. The number of upgrades is determined by the rank that can be upgraded and the upgrade type of the upgradeable item. For example, the highest possible weapon upgrade is a tier 10 weapon. However, the most common upgrade for weapons is a tier 6 weapon and an armor upgrade of tier 5.

Sets

A set is a collection of items that have the benefit of. Each item can be upgraded at the minimum once. The upgrade will increase the guaranteed bonuses. When you first upgrade a set piece or weapon is that it will be given an increase of +1 to its primary stat. On subsequent upgrades, the primary stats are boosted even further (for instance the +1 bonus for 12+/13+/14+) and each time an item is upgraded, one of its stats will increase randomly.

Upgrading a weapon can also increase its damage base, which can be crucial for certain builds. However, weapons can't be upgraded to have a higher maximum defense roll than their base. Upgrades can be a great option to increase the value of some set and unique items, but it's important to note that they might not be superior to a high-level runeword in any build.

If you are upgrading an item that has bonuses, the item can be rerolled one time and the guarantee will reset to zero. The same amount of power dies are used to roll an item, just as it would be to level it up. However, the new item has different bonuses. Upgrades can be made through the NPC [ArmorBoboko. Boboko in Central Flarine. To upgrade an item, you will require the required amount of Minerals and Erons, as well as a power dice of each type. These are available at the crafting table or the Ultra Collector and are available for purchase with Gold. NPCs also offer special rewards for each level of the upgrade process. The reward can be rerolled one time, using the same materials as original item.

Rerolling

A player can roll any item they have acquired during the game, provided they have enough tokens to be able to do so. When an item is rerolled it will be replaced by an equivalent level 1 version from another set. Reroll tokens are available at the store for an amount of in-game currency, but they are not refundable. The new item will offer the same bonus features as the original, but the stats will differ.

In addition to rerolling items, players can also change the identity of any equipment by interfacing with an upgrader NPC. This will change the identification from a weapon to an armor or reverse the process. The basic requirements and stats will remain the same. The change will last for a long time and affect all characters that own the equipment.

Players can also increase the level of their item on any equipped equipment by acquiring upgrade items (lovewiki.faith) and conversing with the NPC who upgrades the item. This will cost a certain amount of crests as well as Valorstones according to the upgrade track and kind. For weapons, each upgrade will add five percent to the damage.

Upgrades can boost the effectiveness of an item, however they also decrease the quality of an item. It is therefore important to strike a balance between the two. Certain items might not be worth upgrading and some will require to be upgraded to maximize their potential. For example an individual player may wish to upgrade a piece breakpoint armor that comes with an interesting modifier ( percent chance of blocking or FHR) to see what it can be.

Rerolling is a common practice in Genshin Impact and other gacha-based games. People do it in order to get an item or character they would not otherwise be able to acquire. These items are time-consuming and costly to obtain, and the RNG isn't always a good fit. The only other options are to spend money or grind a lot. This is why rerolling is a very popular option in Genshin Impact.

Leveling

You can choose whether to upgrade the weapon or armor after upgrading an item. This feature isn't available in the current version of the game. I believe that this feature was created to give value to expensive and rare items. However, as most gear is replaced fairly quickly and can only be upgraded by one level, you will usually replace it before it becomes too old. It's also not worth it to upgrade items with gem sockets because the power of the gem will far outweigh the increase in ilvl with the upgrade.

You will see a small window when you click the upgrade option on an item. It will show the template of the item, the Crest, as well as the cost for Valorstone to raise the item level. Armor and weapons will have different prices, with the latter generally being more expensive. The upgrade template outlines the stats that will be added to the upgraded item upgrader mod and it also lists the current base ilvl.

The Crest and Valorstone costs are calculated by analyzing the current ilvl of the item and the upgrade template. In addition the ilvl of a new upgraded item will be reduced by the template's lvl reduction percentage. For instance, an upgrade of 8% will decrease the weapon's ilvl by 8 to 8%.

In addition to the base ilvl increase it will also get upgrades in other stats such as critical strike damage, PvE damage and block, parry and dodge rating. These increases are based on the upgrade template.

The amount of damage and defense that the item will receive when it is leveled can be seen below the upgrade cost and decrease percentages in the upgrade template window. Aside from practice equipment, all other weapons and armor gain these same stats when upgraded. The value of these stats will be dictated by the market, with a perfectly rolled version of a weapon or piece of armor able to command much more in trade value than unupp'd versions. This is also true for other pieces of armor, such as circlets and Tiaras.
