Guild Wars 2 Item Upgrade

Item upgrade, also called "upping," improves an item's stats. Each upgrade increment gives an increase in linearity of a given stat.

Players can recycle up to six items at a time in order to gain an indicator of the level of the upgraded components. The cost of recycling items scales with their rarity and item upgrader kit level.

Upgrade components

In Guild Wars 2, an upgrade to an item is a method to increase the stats of your weapons and armor. This can be achieved through a variety of methods, including by using upgrade components or increasing the rarity or mark level. In addition, many items can be reforged to increase their stats.

Upgradable items can be found throughout the game, both around the world and as rewards for missions. Players can also make them. The main way to upgrade equipment is through the use of upgrade components, which are the items that can be slotted into equipment. Most equipment has slots for upgrading and some require a certain amount of upgrade items. Some upgrade components give specific bonuses while others provide general bonuses.

There are a variety of upgrade components that are available in the game. These include universal upgrades, inscriptions, and jewels. Universal upgrades, like gemstones and enchantments, can be placed in any equipment type and offer less bonuses than those that are equipment-type specific. Glyphs can only be placed in gathering tools and provide a variety of benefits, from increasing the speed of an item's gathering to providing extra crafting materials.

Choose the item from your inventory, then open the Upgrade window. This will display a preview on the right side of the screen, showing the expected stats after the upgrade, as well as any necessary components or materials. The Upgrade button at the bottom will show blocked if you don't have enough of either.

The upper-right corner displays the amount of upgrade components required to create a particular item. The cost of an upgrade increases with the level of upgrade and rarity, but can be reduced by various methods, such as buying upgrades at a merchant or trading them to other players.

Many weapons can be improved with a prefix, like a rune or an insignia, and others can be upgraded with an suffix. These upgrades add an adjective to the item's name, such as "Radiant" or "Minor Vigor".

Glyphs

Glyphs are an effective tool to communicate visual information. They animate in order to grab the attention of the viewer and spark curiosity. The animation of glyphs mimics the body language and makes them more effective in conveying the message of a language barrier. Glyphs can also enhance the likelihood of remembering the message by triggering an experience of familiarity in the brain.

Each glyph has a range of values that it could increase a stat's value according to the item upgrader when you open the glyph in the Glyph Storage or when you use it to enchant an Artifact. This is not the actual amount by which glyphs can improve the stat, but rather the maximum amount it is able to do so. The actual value of the glyph is determined by the quality and tier of the product you are in awe of it.

The majority of upgrade components that are slotted into items are not able to be repaired or replaced without dismantling the gear in question, except for legendary equipment and upgrades. If you have a glyph or rune you don't want to use, but it's not been applied to gear yet, you can transfer the item to another piece by using the Upgrade Glyphs menu within the Glyphs Panel. This will create a Glyph Set that includes the chosen glyph.

You can take out the glyph using a Black Lion Salvage Kit, or an Ascended Salvage tool. The item will be destroyed that it was installed in but you will be able to salvage the upgraded item with the glyph and its shards so this should not be considered a loss.

A glyph added to an item may cause it to be unstable, and the shards of the glyph will disappear from your inventory once you take it down. You can also add a glyph on your equipment to provide an additional benefit. For example the glyph Deferred Damage can store damage for the wearer and then deal it out slowly instead of all at one time. This can be helpful for players who take many hits from enemies, but do not want to be overwhelmed.

Reroll tokens

Reroll tokens are used to change the affixes of equipment and weapons. They can be obtained from many sources, such as mystery boxes and rare drops from skulled monsters or by killing bosses. Each reroll gives the player a random affix that is typically better than what they had prior to. Reroll tokens are also a good way to reroll weapon stats that can be upgraded for better damage or other perks.

Rerolled items are not listed on the menu for item upgrades (maps.Google.cat), but they can be upgraded. These rerolled items can be recycled by pressing the "upgrade" button that alters the layout of the item upgrading window and allows up to six items to recycle. The level gauge is increased by recycling an item. The amount is determined based on the item's rarity as well as its level. Therefore, items that are higher level are more valuable for recycling than lower-leveled ones.

Players can also make use of Reroll Tokens and Star Remnants to roll rerolling weapons to upgrade units. Rerolls will roll a % chance to determine a weapon's trait. If it is higher, the weapon is upgraded. If it rolls lower the weapon remains as is. Weapons can be upgraded up to three times.

Rerolls are a good option for upgrading an item, but users must be aware that it will reduce the total ilvl of the weapon due to the number of rerolls used to increase the weapon to its ultimate ilvl. This lowering effect is most effective on Diadems and ring items that don't have other options for raising ilvls.

Some players have complained that the reroll system is too expensive. It's more fair to let people pay for it with money or food items which will allow players to make adjustments to their builds without having to invest too much time. The developers do not plan to implement paid rerolls at this stage of the game's development. Instead, they plan to include an option to change the race in the future.

Leveling

There are a variety of ways to upgrade an item. The most effective method to level up an upgrade to an item is to increase the amount of upgrade. This increases the upgrade value for any stat. The alternative is to increase the impact of the upgrade, which increases the healing or damage for the stat. The base item can be upgraded to a more advanced upgrade type. The upgraded item will keep its iLevel, but will be upgraded to reflect the effects of the upgraded item.

It is important to remember that upgrades can be random. Most of the time, a higher roll is determined by glyphs. However there are occasions when a more or unique roll can occur. The type of the item will determine the iLevel. If you upgrade a rare or exclusive item to a unique kind of item, it's likely to getting an upper level.

Upgrades can be expensive particularly if you are upgrading equipment from the standard track to the legendary. The cost of upgrading a piece of equipment will depend on the iLevel it's built upon as well as the number of upgrade levels. Some upgrade tracks also require crests in order to get to the next level.

If you're lucky your upgraded item will be at the highest level of its upgrade track and gain an additional benefit. This will give you a substantial increase in the value of the item. The bonus effect can change with each upgrade level, though. In general, the effect of upgrading is increased a value of +3.

Depending on the item's base level and its upgrade path, the iLevel of the upgraded item will change as well. For instance, a weapon that is upgraded from a rare or exclusive item to an extraordinary item is likely to gain the Enhanced Defense of the new base type of item.
