The seat that faces the rear and footrest that can be reversible as well as the slim profile make it easy to get to the door of a shop.

Another great characteristic of the Maclaren is its quick and easy fold. It is a little slower than the average but it only requires one hand to open and close. It's also a compact pram when closed, making it a breeze to fit into tight spaces.

This model is not recommended for infants. However it is suitable for children aged 3 months and over. You can buy one of Maclaren’s lighter umbrella strollers if you need a pram for your child at this stage. It's an excellent option for older babies and toddlers because it's so comfy that they'll want to lay down in the seat at home or on the go!

If you're looking for a perfect blend of style and practicality, this two-in-one stroller is the ideal. 4. Thule Shine

The Shine stroller is a brand known for its cool, practical products. It's one of the lightest strollers on the market, and feels solid and robust in your hands despite its minimalist design. It's also extremely versatile, with the ability to be used from birth thanks to the accessories included which transform it into a bassinet, Newborn Inlay, or Newborn Nest, as well as a Maxi Cosi car seat adapter (accessories sold separately).

Contrary to other lightweight strollers, the Shine doesn't let you down in terms of cargo storage either. Its 22-pound capacity allows you to take everything you require for a day of travel without feeling like you have to leave everything behind.

It's also easy to assemble and the back wheels securing to the main frame straight out of the box. If you buy the optional bassinet, it clicks on with ease and has carry handles like those of the Moses basket. The pram can be folded down into a compact and neat size, so it fits in even the tiniest cars.

Thule's air purifier canopy is a standout as well, with an inbuilt fan that purifies the air you breathe, removing bacteria, viruses, pollen and other nasties. The company claims it can filter 150l of air every minute and can connect to an app that will show your local air quality.

The only downside is the price. Although it is less than some other best 2 in 1 pram in 1 prams, it still costs over PS1,000 for the complete kit. It's even harder to swallow when there are cheaper alternatives, like the Thule spring which is smaller and lighter.

The durability of Thule's strollers is legendary, and I've seen them put to the test at the Thule Hillerstop headquarters in Sweden. They drop prams from a height and then crash them down slopes and ride them across bumpy trails in the snow to test their performance and strength. They certainly come out looking great!
