All-terrain pushchair that offers light weight and excellent maneuverability. The compact fold with one hand makes it simple to transport. It also stands on its own when folded. The padded seat reclines into a nearly flat position, and there's a huge storage bin and canopy. The suitability for newborns is yes it comes with a carrycot (not suitable for sleeping overnight).

A well-constructed suspension and air-filled tires can help you to navigate the rough terrain. It's also suitable for jogging but you should wait until your baby is six or nine months old before doing this.

Ickle Bubba XL Air

This pushchair from Ickle Bubba is an excellent choice for parents who want an easy-to-use buggy that has enhanced features. The travel system comes with an adjustable carrycot that can be folded flat for infants as well as a dual-position forward and rear facing seat for the pushchair.

The XL Air is a really impressive buggy and it's easy to understand why it has received such high praise from customers. It's incredibly light - both the wheels and chassis weigh just 6.5kg and it's super-easy to build. In fact I was able put it up and running in just five minutes, which is pretty amazing given that it included a strapping of the fabric for the carrycot!

It has a lovely, wide seat that was comfortable for Annie (who is 12 months) and the recline lever is easy to operate. There's a good amount of space inside the basket and I like the fact that it has a zip-up pocket in the handle bar so that you can keep your phone and keys secure!

The only downside is that the handlebar is low, which could be an issue for parents who are taller. However, it's encased with a luxurious leather-like material that is soft and comfortable and cleans down easily, meaning it's still easy to push even with bags and children in your hands!

Hauck Pushchair Runner

The Runner is designed for athletic parents who want to get outside and explore. Its large pneumatic wheels were designed to be used on field and forest paths and the front three wheel buggies can be swivelled and locked to give you more flexibility. It also comes with a cushioned 5-point safety harness and front bar to keep your little one safe throughout your journey, while the parking brake is able to stop the stroller from moving when you rest. The comfortable seat is easy to recline to a comfortable lying position, and the canopy opens up with netting to ensure maximum air circulation on hot days. The handle can be adjusted by more than 30cm to fit the needs of dad or mum.

Whether you're going for a quick jog or a longer hike The Runner will be there to accompany you on your journeys with a reclining, fully-flat seat and suspension air wheels that promise an unhurried ride. The front 3 wheel tandem stroller can be locked for greater stability on narrow streets or crowded sidewalks. The stroller is also able to fold up to fit in car boot spaces and storage spaces.

The Runner 2 is a bit more difficult to maneuver for some parents than its predecessor. Also the locking system (requiring two buttons either side of the handlebar) is less user-friendly. The handlebar is higher than other strollers which means it might not be suitable for parents with shorter arms however, overall it's a sturdy and versatile stroller that is worth considering for active families.

Red Kite Push Me walking

Red Kite's Pace is a top product from the cost-effective British brand. They are renowned for their simple, well-designed products that are essential to parents. It's the newest and most expensive version of their bargain light stroller collection. It's also like the Ickle Bubba Aurora and Yoyo, is car seat adaptable so you can use it from the beginning (the carrycot folds away).

The new Pace comes with some amazing design elements, including a rose-gold tint on the hood, chassis, and stroller trims that truly make it stand out. The cream, grey, and tan fabrics in the stroller and the car seat are fashionable and there's an option to add a co-ordinating leather handle for the cover and bumper bar as well.

It's suitable for babies up to a maximum weight of 22kg and the stroller seat converts easily from the carrycot to a 2-in-1 reversible mode, parent-facing or world-facing. The stroller seat comes with multiple lie-back positions, softly padded legs rests and an extendable sun canopy with concealed zip sections and a transparent flap, and a retractable visor.

When folded in half, the Pace measures 56 32 x 43 cm which is enough to qualify as hand luggage with Easyjet and Ryanair, among others. It's also a breeze to collapse, with two buttons on either side of the handlebar which just click in and pop up.

Bugaboo Fox 5

Bugaboo's Fox 5 is designed to be the ultimate, all-terrain stroller. Its unique chassis, which has a shorter wheel-distance, makes it more agile than its predecessor. I tried it with my two children one of whom is eight weeks old and the other toddler - on rocky pavements along with grassy wooded trails and even cobblestones.

The puncture-proof wheels are big in size - 22cm and a whopping 30cm - which means they can handle many different terrains. The wheels come with flaps that can be shut or opened to let air in when required. It is a little bigger than some pushchairs, but it doesn't feel bulky or heavy when pushing over bumpy surfaces.

The fabric for the seat can be machine washed and the faux leather grips and frame are easy to clean. It's also quieter than many pushchairs and I felt safe using it in busy city streets. It has integrated accessory points so you can attach footmuffs and parasols and also changing bags, snack trays, and even snack tray. You can also use the hood to block out wind and rain, although it's not particularly waterproof. It's a single pram, but you can add their Comfort Wheeled Board (not included) to give your child some extra leg room. The bassinet took 20 minutes to put together, and it took the same amount of time to transform it into a seat.

The Ridge's reversible seat allows you to choose if your child is facing you or the world ahead. Its simple foot brake system makes it intuitive for new parents. A great feature is the reversible handlebar, that allows you to adjust it to your height and preferences. The Ridge's fold, unlike other strollers for jogging, is sturdy and self-standing when folded.

iCandy's latest pushchair is truly innovative and comes with a host of features that are really going to wow parents. It features a Multi-Mode wheelbase and a groundbreaking LED Hub Light, which is an industry first.
